Volume: 1 mL
Concentration: 1 mg/mL
Clonality: Polyclonal
Form: Affinity Purified
Host Species: Chicken
Species Reactivity: Goat
Immunogen: IgG
Physical State: Liquid
Conjugate: HRP
Buffer: HEPES (50 mM, pH 7.0), NaCl (0.1 M), bovine serum albumin (0.2%, w/v), thimerosal (0.01%, w/v) (as an anti-microbial agent).
Specificity: There is no detectable cross-reactivity with rabbit, human or mouse IgG
Production Notes: Chickens were immunized with purified, non-denatured goat IgG (containing both heavy and light chains). Eggs were collected from hyperimmunized hens and the IgY fraction purified from the yolks. Anti-goat IgG’s were affinity-purified over a column conjugated with purified goat IgG (containing both heavy and light chains) and then conjugated with horseradish peroxidase.
Antibodies were tested for specificity using double-immunodiffusion in agarose gels and ELISA analysis. In the latter, a 1/75,000 dilution gave an O.D. of 1.0 in a 15 minute reaction using tetramethylbenzidine as substrate.
Store at 4°C in the dark. Under these conditions, the antibodies should have a shelf life of at least 12 months (provided they remain sterile). For longer storage periods, dilute the antibodies with sterile glycerol and store at -20°C. Do not freeze these antibodies unless you want to store them for longer periods of time.
